Zouhair Mtazi is a versatile actor with Moroccan roots.
Zouhair besides acting, is also occupied with writing & directing.
Zouhair was seen as an actor in the popular TV series ‘Penoza’ and ‘Flikken Maastricht‘. He had a leading role in the movie ‘Aas‘ (48hour Film Project) by Ellard Vasen. The 48hour Film Project is a competition that runs in several cities worldwide.
Zouhair acted in six 48 hour productions of which he devised two. In addition to television and film, he played in theater ‘C’est la vie de dole,‘ and ‘Power to the People‘ Theatre of Dox and ‘Casa‘ by Suzanne Reindersma. In 2010, he had a leading role in ‘Fire Dancers’ by Jeroen Wijnen. Zouhair also featured in commercials including ‘USG‘, ‘Rabobank‘ and the video for Annelore ‘FT. YS & BAY BAY, Playerz‘.
The video ‘Playerz‘ is also written and directed by Zouhair himself. In addition to this video, he directed ‘The Deal’, a Moroccan short film and wrote ‘Rewind‘, a short film in development.
After several workshops given by Joost Buitenweg, Roel Twijstra and Jolanda Spoel, he followed the Talent Development Trajectory of Theatre Dox from 2010 onwards. In 2012 he followed several workshops by, among others, Benji Reid and Ingrid Wender. In 2013 he started with the private part-time course at The Actor Acting School in Rotterdam.
