Mohamed Kholai was born in Alexandria, Egypt,  In 2005, he burst onto the big screen by landing his first critical role in “Ouija” a controversial film dealing with abortion which is a taboo subject in the Middle Eastern culture. directed by one of the most respected directors in Egyptian Cinema Khaled Youssef.

Mohamed played the lead role in the first thriller in Egyptian Cinema in over fifty years entitled “Camp.” Before leaving Egypt Mohamed played a role in a movie with his mentor Omar Sharif entitled “The Traveller.”
